MAMAROMA
Mamaroma est une sculpture que j’ai présentée lors de mon DNSEP en 2018, et c’est en quelque sorte l’un des points de départ de mes recherches en collage. Mama Roma c’est d’abord Anna Magnani, une des icônes du cinéma italien, j’ai cité son nom pour compléter le sens de cette sculpture. J’ai assemblé une photo de la célèbreLupa Capitolina (Loup du Capitole)avec une photo de Marry Wigman, une danseuse allemande pionnière de la danse expressionniste, exécutant sa danse de sorcière :Hexentanz. A travers cemontage, j’ai essayé d’établir un dialogue entre nos cultures communes et personnelles. Le tout étant imprimé en noir et blanc, collé sur une planche de bois et mis debout à taille humaine. Ainsi elle se dresse, imposante et effrayante comme la mère nourricière de mon imagination.
MAMAROMA
Mamaromais a sculpture that I presented during my DNSEP in 2018, and it is somehow one of the starting points of my collage research.Mama Romais first of all Anna Magnani, one of the icons of the Italian cinema, I quoted her name to complete the meaning of this sculpture. I have assembled a photo of the famous Lupa Capitolina(Capitoline Wolf) with a photo of Marry Wigman, a pioneer German dancer performing her witch dance:Hexentanz.Through this montage I tried to make a dialogue between our common and personal cultures. The whole being printed in black and white, pasted on a wooden board and put upright at human size. She stands, imposing and frightening like the foster mother of my imagination.
