Localisées dans 226 pays, ainsi que sur les mers et les océans, les couchers de soleil se succèdent en fonction de leur position géographique. Ces instants figuratifs s’associent dans une poursuite de l’allégorie du Soleil.
« Cette vidéo phantasmatique produit une sensation de vertige effréné. Le regard se perd entre la permanence du sujet et la variété des points de vue. Le soleil est ici invoqué par le prisme du mythe. Hélios, parfois associé à la figure d’Apollon symbolise l’éclat vital et la violence de l’énergie lumineuse. Sous cet astre, nous brûlons et nous vivons, soumis à la force extrême d’un feu en apparence perpétuel. Mais, capté dans un coucher de soleil, il est aussi l’astre malade et vieillissant qui bientôt s’éteindra, prémonition d’une fin, chronique d’un drame à venir. »
